Career Opportunity: Journalists and News Presenters

The United Nations is seeking skilled and dynamic Journalists with strong backgrounds in news anchoring, reporting, and presenting to join its global Communications and Public Information Division. Successful candidates will play a vital role in shaping global narratives, promoting transparency, and advancing the UN’s mission through credible and compelling storytelling.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Present and report on UN activities, global events, and humanitarian initiatives with clarity and professionalism.
  • Conduct interviews with diplomats, experts, and field officers to produce accurate and engaging news content.
  • Write, edit, and produce reports, press releases, and multimedia features for broadcast and digital platforms.
  • Anchor news segments and host press briefings for international audiences.
  • Ensure all content aligns with the UN’s communication standards and editorial integrity.
  • Monitor international news trends and advise on communication strategies relevant to global development, peace, and human rights.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, International Relations, or a related field.
  • Minimum of three years of professional experience in journalism, news anchoring, or broadcast presentation.
  • Proven ability to communicate complex issues clearly and objectively to diverse audiences.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (knowledge of another UN language is an asset).
  • Experience in multimedia reporting or digital storytelling is highly desirable.
