Organizational Setting
You provide legal support for programs, contracts, and compliance within UN operations.
Responsibilities
- Review contracts, MOUs, and agreements for accuracy and compliance.
- Prepare legal opinions for senior staff.
- Support dispute resolution through research and structured negotiation.
- Interpret national and international legal frameworks linked to UN activities.
- Draft and review official correspondence.
- Support investigations linked to staff conduct and policy breaches.
- Maintain updated records of laws, regulations, and internal policies.
- Engage government offices on permits, registration, and legal coordination.
- Train staff on legal obligations and compliance rules.

Education

Work Experience
- Experience drafting legal documents and advisory notes.
- Experience in litigation or legal compliance.
- Experience with NGOs or public institutions is an advantage.
Languages
- English required.
- Knowledge of another UN language is an advantage.
Assessment
